Hello? You're not paying attention. Those are ANNUAL RATES extrapolated from loans that are much shorter term than 1 year.

posting in a Cam claims people who just have a different idea about what is morally justified behavior towards other humans haven't "looked into it enough" thread.

They clearly haven't looked into it enough. buying into low info/misleading talking points and fallacies fundamental to their positions are on full display here.

I checked his article, and closed it when I saw "Payday loan users overwhelmingly approve of the product" as the second reason. Holy shit, I cannot believe how dense some people are.

Cam is right though.

That statement is not right, no matter what subject is about. It is the exact same statement that ChivasRegal uses as support for flat Earth. "You would see that Earth is flat, but you just don't understand the evidence yet! All you have to do is research more."

If you cannot give argumentation for your opinion, it's easier to just not defend it at all.

is it the wrong way to look at it? i figure with the cyclical nature of these loans looking at annual rates wouldn't be misleading? if you need to get a loan to pay off the previous loan etc.
