Smith was a MVP frontrunner for at least a quarter of the season... he's a good qb lol. Your obese sub .500 postseason record coach holds him back.

Hahahahaha seriously? Smith had the best 5 weeks of his life, the only people who really thought that were either stupid or don’t have any memory whatsoever.

Also, kelce is putting up comparable numbers to gronk, with Alex smith. Lmao. You pats fans must obviously not know how good Brady is. Smh.

Gronk 28 Years Old
Yards | 7179
TDs | 76
Receptions | 474

Kelce 28 Years Old
Yards | 3900
TDs | 22
Receptions | 307

"Comparable numbers"

Guy has one year with 15 more receptions than Gronk still ends up with less yards, and his numbers are comparable

Gronk can’t be covered on a regular basis it is the suck. Gronk definitely is more successful because of them but he would be good for any team.

Obviously that's a huge factor, but Gronk is just a freak of nature. Anyone who's watched Gronk play a lot, knows that there's just no other TE that does what he does as consistently. If not for his injury problems, he'd be literally miles ahead of everyone else, and even with the injury shit, I'd still take him hands down over any other TE in NFL history.

Kelce is a beast and I respect the hell out of him, but Gronk is the best when it comes to TEs, and it's not close.

King has quarterbacks at the top of his MVP list, as is the norm for the award. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady occupy the two spots above Smith. King writes:

Amazing to see this man with the dinking-and-dunking reputation entering Week 9 leading the NFL with an 8.4-yards-per-attempt average. Smith has become a good downfield thrower with a healthy Tyreek Hill to target. Smith is a legit MVP candidate … if the Chiefs can stay atop their division. He went until the fourth quarter of Week 9 before he threw his first interception of the season.

Smith's radar lock continues as he's completing 72.4% of his passes, ahead of single-season record pace, which — along with his doughnut in the INT column — computes to his NFL-high 120.5 passer rating. A historically conservative QB, his 1,979 passing yards rank second, while only Wentz has more TD passes than Smith's 15. Last week: 1
