starting school for Network systems administrator.

learn the material prior to starting the class. you don't want to be confused in class and fall behind.

It's not a week-1 kind of thing. You'll be told which books you're going to work with, as is the case for any educational programme.
The general consensus is, that if you read a certain chapter prior to having a lecture of that chapter, you'll pick up more from it and actually reduce the time required to fully comprehend the subject.

Any technical knowledge is good to have. I really don't enjoy the operations side so really depends what you like. Having an understanding of networks is extremely helpful though from a developer/technical perspective.

Networks was by far one of my favorite classes in college and has definitely proven to be valuable to me in the working world.

I think being a network admin by itself would be pretty boring, but if you tied it in with development, cloud and/or devops it can be far more interesting.

I was in college for that but ended up leaving because it wasn't for me. I was doing very well in the course, I just couldn't see myself doing that.

Iv always wanted to get into the IT field. i figure this would be a good start
