I wonder if I should offer a followup question, though I'm struggling what to ask.

Perhaps respond with what you chose, why you chose it, and why you consider yourself a conservative, socialist or whatever, and why you think it's the best option.

that's a tougher question. I guess I could give an example: something like Blairism. in between social democracy and conservatism. The modern third way.
