My dad has been overreacting. He was upset we gave up the 2 games, but honestly... How the fuck can we complain? We're at our peak, and we're on top of NL East by quite a far margin.

What is your favorite starting 5 rotation assuming Callaway decides not to go with that stupid ass 6 man rotation...

I go..

Thor
DeGrom
Matz
Wheeler
Vargas

Bullpen relievers/long relievers (Former SP's)
Harvey
Lugo
Gsellman

still early no reason to be upset when you're 13-4 and in first place. its not really a far margin though only 3 games up on philly and atl and we have a series with atl starting tonight. again still way too early though.

as for the rotation i think matz is the weak link. i would like to have 2 starting lefties but i think he may be better off as a LRP lefty if necessary.

What? Really... Matz has actually been super dominant... Could you tell me why you think Matz is the weakest link? Harvey is my clear cut choice. This guy literally has nothing anymore... He throws like he's going through the motions... Uninspired pitching along with lackluster motivation... Guy sounds deflated

Matz settled down and got through four with a manageable pitch count. He has had an interesting season. Last season, Matz just struck out 16.1% of the people faced whereas this year, it is 30.66%. His stuff is clearly much better than last year and his HR-to-fly ball rate is a rather crazy 35.7%. Last year, the highest HR/FB rate in baseball was 21.2%. Essentially, I am suggesting Matz will be better going forward and his HR/FB rate should normalize.

Also I think ATL/PHI are outperforming their expectations, but we'll see..

I think they both need to go to bullpen and find another young arm πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I wasn't that high on Harvey beginning of season, you don't bounce back from those injuries especially his. Matz can bounce back, because he's a lefty, still has great velocity, and is improving his strike zone..

Callaway trying to fix Harvey is trying to remodel a Volvo, and tell someone it's an Audi lol. (I know they are both owned and operating companies.)

But man.. Harvey stinks.

I would actually be okay with Gsellman starting or taking Harvey's spot... His groundballs would make it easy money for our infield defense, plus Lugo is too money on the bullpen.

I think Lugo needs to command dominance too. The only 2 pitchers that command that is Thor and degrom. We need more of that.

Harvey as of last few years has a really bad attitude when it comes to his wellbeing. Scott Boras doesn’t help with that.
