My 3rd (thanks to lag, and then a burning soul) sorc is now lvl 59 on HC ladder. I'm still in nm, thinking of moving to hell, but I have crap gear. I have stealth, lore and a spirit sword. Also have hotspurs, the rest isn't worth mentioning. My res aren't great but they're all positive. In hell though, they'll be negative. I'm thinking of making smoke, any other suggestions to reduce my odds of dying?

level to 70-75 before you head into hell. And yeah, your resists should be higher as well. Smoke, mosers, wiz etc would all help with that.

Pray a lot and ask your lord for forgiveness & salvation. That's her best bet.

I wasn't going to go at this level, but I guess wait until 70 is better than dying. Wizpike is a great idea, I'll have to start putting in some dex though.
As far as praying is concerned, I leave that to my paladin :P

As said wiz smoke mossers is what I use. Max res in hell. Im 88 and don't dare choas or Baal alone. I'm currently running orb//tk build and have great survivability. I'm only grinding countess meph lk and Andy right now to get my loot up until I can afford infinity.

whatever you do, don't play without BO. It's guaranteed suicide for a sorc

Follow this build if you want to survive and stay alive. With this build you can easily start farming hell andy / mephisto etc and without bo or moat trick
