I was fat to fit and it was fucking awful. First off you have a bunch of people telling you to bulk first because if you cut you have no muscle, so you waste time doing that and realize you only get fatter, then you finally do cut down but you lose muscle and while you lose fat you're still not "lean". It took me years to actually be fit+lean from being fat. Eating 2.7k calories and still get fat.

Then you have skinny guys who eat everything in sight and don't gain weight, when in reality they probably aren't eating even over 3k calories.

Skinny to fit - you generally have a good base to start with

He's talking scrawny, not athletic build. Straight computer nerd vs fat.
Wouldn't be fair to compare somone with a "Good base" in this scenario, as that would be athletic vs fat, we're talking scrawny vs fat.

Imo fat to fit is easier. Eating a lot is the hardest part, and fat people don't need to bulk up.

a lot of factors to consider but in general a more lean individual will have a relatively easier time due to more ideal hormonal profile and more effective nutrient partitioning

if youre skinny fat or large and fat youll eventually have to tackle the problem either by cutting and then massing or recomping both of which take more time

Of course, and that's why i'm saying it's 100x more motivation to get in shape. Plus I watch big dudes put up 10x more starting weight then little dudes, like I said, it's easier for a scrawny dude to get content, I feel like bigger you have more of a reason to stick to it. Plus it's ROUGH as a scrawny dude putting up 10 lb dumbells next to a buncha dudes doing 6x as much, just as it's tough for a big dude being fat, but big dudes typically can pump out WAY more weight then a scrawny dude, just due to size which makes the muscle build insane, cardio would stink though.
Idk either way its rough, takes dedication on both ends!
