So the war is between elder and shaper, elder is the tentacles while shaper is the spacey looking, right now it looks like elder is maintaining dominant control of my atlas where shaper is mostly scattered, I just did a shaper map and now the map has switched into elder turf, who am I suppose to help and what are the benefits?

shaper tries to block elder once you get elder spread
so if you want elder to expand then do the shaper maps blocking the elder spread.

what about when it says "occupied by xxx"

have a map that is occupied by elder did it and nothing happened, is it rng based spawn?

think you gotta kill the elder guardians first

I just finished my first Elder (yellow). Do all the guardians first then the elder.

If you fight Elder and wipe do you have to start the process all over again?

before I killed his guardians elder controlled a lot of turf now he's only got the 1 map he's in.

the turf only gets smaller if you actually kill the boss. So if you use all portals you can just get a new map and the boss is still there
