I've played the game a lot in spurts but never have really focused on MF. Little new and could use some advice/suggestions.

Who is best and what MF% do you want to shoot for? Also..does more players in game help with MF and does your character level affect it at all? (Someone told me it did wasn't sure)

Hands down you have these options:

Hammerdin, Light Sorc, Trapsin, and Javazon.

Best choice is Hammerdin but casting hammers is tedious.

Light Sorc is fast but squshy although can pack the most MF.

Trapsin is like Light Sorc, squishy as well and slower but the Mind Blast helps a lot and is pretty fun.

Javazon tanks pretty well too but can't pack as much MF.



If you're trying to get all around best I suggest the typical Hammerdin build.

Well , if you have no fgs to spend so the best char for mf is blizz/sorc , you can andy/meph/ancients Tunnels/pindle
the best mf is 300-450.

The mf on merc is add to your own mf if you have 100 mf and ure merc have 50 mf so your total merc mf = 150.

Ok so merc kill adds your Mf as well? Nice.

Also, yeah I don't have FG as of now, still a little new here, but Ive got nice enough stuff and still trade, so light sorc is my goal here I've decided.

I know a lot suggest a lower FCR frame, but I wanted to try and shoot for 200%fcr still.

So how about

10fcr str/life/fire res

That would hit max res, decent light dmg, life and mana pretty decent and 60 or 86 fhr, not sure? And close to 350mf while still hitting 200fcr.

it really depends on the char you play. If you can get ~400mf without losing much kill speed - sure go for it.

I usually shoot for ~250 which i find is the sweet spot between getting good drops and still being able to kill well.

That being said i usually run cs early ladder. P1 Blizzard vs weak tunnels undeads is probably another case.

you dont need cnbf, 60fhr is enough for pvm

also tbh when you can build a decent light sorc (with which i mean infy+griffon) you are pretty far into ladder anyway. better make a pure blizzard or fo/fb early ladder
