/ee I know this isn't all that helpful. If you have a spare $50, you might want to have it checked over in a reliable mom & pop computer shop?

No, it definitely helps! I'll try slots 2&4 and report back if I have any issues.

Maske sure you clean any dust out of the RAM slots. Same with the vid card slot for that matter.

Download Aida 64.

Install it, and go to tools --> System stability test. Uncheck stress system memory and give it a run.
see how quickly it shuts down or freezes and let me know.
