Hello guys.
I need some serious help to bring my laptops screen from 60hz to 120 hz.
I tried different things and searched alot on google, but all the guides im trying, is resulting in black screen.

Im using a MSI laptop "Msi gt43vr 7rf titan pro" with gtx 1080 geforce and running on windows 10 64bit
my laptop screen is a 120hz 5ms 4K screen.
NOTICE; Im not gonna plug a extra monitor on, i want to use my laptops screen!!!

Every guide i tried untill today, is resulting in a black screen where i must plug another monitor on to config it back.
i dont have the function 120hz in nvidia settings on screen settings, so i guess it must be overclocked? but how come it says 120hz supported, and when i do it, i get a black screen? ><
my screen resolution is 3840 x 2160 as it recomends that.

can any1 help me here please!

/EDIT:::

now i changed some settings and now 120hz is possible in nvidia settings, and chosen, but if i chose it in screen settings, my screen is being black and not going back.
is that overclocked to 120 hz then ?
but when i open cs;go, cs 1.6 and pubg, my screen is turning black, can any1 help me with that?

I'm pretty sure 4k @ 120hz isn't a thing yet.

https://www.proshop.dk/Baerbar/MSI-GT73VR-7RF-402NE-Titan-Pro/2587856
this is my laptop.
as you see;
17.3" 3840 x 2160 (Ultra HD 4K)

and there is a sticker on the laptop, where it says "120hz 5ms" within a monitor picture.

so i guess 4k and 120hz is a thing yet.

still looking for serious help to make this shit 120hz without getting black screen ><

If you go to MSI's website...

17.3" Full HD (1920x1080), 120 Hz Refresh Rate and 5ms response time panel (Optional)
17.3" built-in 4K LCD with 3840 X 2160 resolution and 100% Adobe RGB (optional)

Just a fancy name they put on it to make it seem like it's better than another 4k monitor

This question was already answered several times.

You can run 120hx AT 1080p, but not 4k.

Nothing out there can do 4k @ 120hz yet, it doesn't exist.

Asus was talking about making a monitor capable of this, but the monitor alone would cost well into the $1500 range, and would require a mothership for a GPU.

You really need to head to MSI and read what they have to say about your computer.
Google is going to provide a lot more answers than we can on this.

The main point here being: 4k @ 120hz, DOES NOT EXIST. Trying to do this is going to accomplish nothing.
