okay so, i used the windows 10 pc reset to clear everything off my drives. i started it at 1am est last night and just got home and it still on the same screen that says Republic of Gamers, Please wait..


this is my 3rd time trying to do this for 8+ hours each time, any other ways to wipe the drives?

redo it with a disc/usb properly.
Seems either the drives having issues or the files are corrupted.

with a windows 10 disc?

computer just seems sluggish for an i7-7700k and 1080ti and i have so much useless shit on my drives.

Having lots of data shouldn't impact performance unless your less then 10% free space on the drive in which case time to either remove shit or upgrade space.

i have a disc with external rom.

my ssd has like 4% left and my 2tb hdd has like 20% left lol

The easiest way is to just use another computer. Place the drives in there and use EaseUS Partition Master (free) to secure erase them.

did you even read the thread mike?
plus dbans easier as you don't need another pc to do it.

DBAN themselves say it doesn't work on SSDs.

/e However, EaseUS can detect and erase SSDs. They claim to be able to do it, even when installed on the OS partition...TO the OS partition.
IMO, though, I would just use EaseUS on another comp.

You wouldn't need to wipe the ssd unless he was giving it away and worried about them trying to recover the data.
So I still fail to see what your trying to get at here.
