About to pull the trigger on Dell XPS 15
I need a laptop that i can put in my backpack for traveling. I will be editing photos and videos, and some gaming. Anything else i should consider before doing this?

Total budget and country of purchase: $1500-2000 USA

Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Lightweight, Battery Life, Able to edit Photos and videos, Good colors( i would settle for a 1080p display for extra battery life)e

How important is weight and thinness to you? Very important

Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows.

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
15inch seems like a good balance for portability

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Yes, ill be using adobe applications. Photoshop. Lightroom. Premiere, ect. I will do Light gaming.

If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
No games for certain

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
Sturdy and light weight. Don't need touch but i hear its good to use a pen whilst video editing?

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Again this laptop will fit into my backpack while i travel through airports. I will be doing photo and video editing work. some light gaming when i get bored. I also see the Dell xps 15 can be charged through a Power Brick. as i dont know when ill get to some power, this seems like a killer plus. Thank you for any input!!!

Yeah the Dell XPS is perfect for your needs.
I got an Dell XPS 9560 512GB SSD 16GB RAM for 1300$ last summer on discount. Was originally 1800$. -350$ firm summer sale plus a 10% coupon

But I'm actually trying to sell it for 1250$ bucks right now. Since i got a server up running since then. I used it a lot of VMware projects. Hence why i needed HQ 4cores/8threads CPU. But sence then i got a server up running. So i wanna get an Asus zenbook for around 1000$ 13-14" just with an U CPU.
