hey..

I have had this problem for some days now ... dont know what is going on -.-

Installed windows 10
it just close down without any warning and i loose all my work -..-
then when i start it up again, its saying "updating - please dont shut down your computer"

.. i know you guys need more information , but let me know what needed + where to find it .

...simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

Just let it finish updating.

On a new install, there will be a lot of update. Also the October "Fall Creators Update" (is a huge update) may have just hit your laptop.
There is really nothing you can do, but let it finish. It might even take a few hours.


/e When you have some spare time, you might want to get some cans of compressed air and blow the dust out of your laptop. The CPU and the mainboard, are a tad warm. Nothing major, but probably just some dust blocking the airflow.

thanks - im forcing it to download updates now - will get back to you what is happening after that.

/e - Just took it apart the other day and cleaned it , so should be fine (its an old laptop, but should be working :).

Whenever a computer running Windows says: "updating - please dont shut down your computer" ...believe it.

/e Forcing the updates will help, you might have to check for new updates a couple times, before it's all done. Some updates won't show up, until other have been installed.



This makes think about Windows 3.1, it didn't need monthly updates. How Microsoft has fallen.

whenever a computer running Windows goes installing updates and restarting without my consent or letting me stop it, I'm going to nuke the hard drive and install a different OS because whether Microsoft believes it or not, it's actually my machine not theirs.

download dws lite and kill every single piece of win10 that makes it annoying and less like windows 7
