Windows 10 a bish I had same issue one 2 of my w10s.

Run as admin
Take off any compatibility mode in property's and install glide wrapper.

Took my from 20 solid skip to zero and 4xxfps.

Isn’t 5ms bad for csgo?
And FPS isnt your issue, skip probably is on D2.

Im allready running d2 with glide. still i got problems.
im running with 200 fps normally, but as soon as monster comes up, my screen freezes for 5 seconds, idk what you call it, fps drop or skip or w/e

I once had a similar issue. Ended up being my virus scan needing an engine update. Was running Kaspersky and it was trying to update files but on wrong engine version. As soon as I updated the main virus scan engine to the latest version, the virus files updated properly and my lag stopped. Hope that helps

Do the games always freeze, or do they sometimes resume ?
If they're completely freezing does no alt+tab // ctrl+alt+del work or do you need a hard reset ?

it freezes for 5 seconds and the resmues..
i mean, when im at dia and dia spawns, my d2 window freezes for 5 seconds, = enough time to kill a 200fc sorc with no block.
after that it continues, but what can i use that for, if i could kill dia at thoose 5 seconds, instead of dying? ^^

Im asking because i would go with NorthWestern here - for me this sounds like a driver problem

windows 10 was installed when i bought it 2 months ago.

Yes it continues after freezing, i dont have to shut down d2 to continue my self. Freezing stops after 5 secs like nothing happened.
But it repeats every game.
I allready tried update to the latest geforce gtx 1080 driver, but didnt help on my problem
