Should look into Wordpress. Solid service.
Piss poor advice.
Wordpress is a blogging platform, plain and simple. Wordpress should only be used if you're running a blog.
There are much better options out there that will actually challenge your brain and make your learn things.
My favorite framework is Aurelia, but that requires a significant knowledge in web application development.
There are some major things to consider here when choosing a framework or CMS(Content Management System - AKA Wordpress is a CMS)
1) Is there going to be ecommerce on the website?
2) How often is content going to be updated
3) What kind of features do you want? (Social Media Integration? Galleries?)
4) Where are you going to get assets from?
I think the best way to do anything is learn how it's done from the inside out. Although I live for the pursuit of knowledge so my ways of thinking are slightly different than most.
There are MANY MANY MANY tutorials out there on building basic websites, even if it's just simple HTML and CSS. Web sites are very easy to get started on if you're new to code.
But you also have to remember, there is a reason why people get paid money to do these things. They aren't something you learn just by slapping it around a bit.
If you don't want to get into coding at all:
Look into Joomla , or if you plan on having ecommerce look into Shopify.
