I never shut it down and just unplug it to move it around (been doing this for a year)
Eventually it'll die for good but I'm well aware of that.
Point being, it's 4 years old. It may shit the bed eventually (your laptop), maybe even sooner than later. If you have anything important on it back it up
Yeah i backed up like 60+ GBs of music recently.
I almost never run my laptop on battery, 90%+ of the time i just unplug the battery and run it on a/c adapter. My original battery died after just over a year (about 15 months) of heavy use.
