casually diablo 3 wins, provided you have little to no knowledge of the genre

if you plan to play it more than a week, well path of exile is kinda not a game for casuals, there is some learning involved

D3 is easier to get into , PoE is a beter game overall and has more content.

If you don't have much time, Diablo 3 will be more fun for you I think, if you have a lot of time then PoE is the better one.
