differential and brake fluid changed. $600
is this normal cost from a dealership? (california)

It is normal for the dealership to fuck you, yes

If you're still in warranty, which I'm assuming you are as it's 30,000 miles, then I would only take it to a dealership in case there are further issues down the road.

What kind of car wants you to do driveline service at 30k? Is it 4x4 in severe duty?

A brake fluid flush should run no more than 150 or so.

Differential service completely depends on the car.
