after the failed first date with dude 1 (from another thread in gc, dead by now), i gave tinder a try, made an account, posted like 3-4 pics and then swiped right on the first dude because he's pretty cute
well, within 5 minutes of making the account, i already had a match, first swipe in
texting and stuff, pictures, all that, few weeks later we decide to meet up
met at the waterfront a city over (that i'm familiar with), walked around, went to go get some food (chungs, bruh)
after talking over dinner, he hopped in my car and we talked some more, casual, just about life and shit
then he says he's gotta run to his work real quick and we'll meet at the casino, and comes in for a kiss
since we'd just met, i kinda instinctively turned to the side because i wasn't ready and that seemed soon
kinda froze up, didn't know what to say or do, muttered a few words and he said "well, think about it, process it, i'll see you at the casino"
met up there, i've been up for like 28 hours now so i was dead tired, but he gambled a bit, chit chatted, calmed down and eventually left
he hopped in my car so i drove him down to his since it was a big parking garage, we talked a little bit more then i pulled up next to his car
he said "i'm going to give you another kiss on the cheek if that's okay" so i sat and thought about it for a quick sec and said that's fine.
got a lil nervous after again, but again nbd, was a little less awkward. parted ways, texted him a few times throughout the night and we made plans to meet up tomorrow (yesterday)
well, we meet up again but this time at a park downtown in another city, really pretty, lots of folks around,
walking & talking, he grabs me some ice cream and we sit down by a little inlet and chat for a bit about work and such
kept walking around then came up on a 9/11 tribute statue thing, sit down, talk some more,
at this point i feel a "connection" like the vibe changed a bit, but nothing that worried me.
but we walked over to a small area with a flagpole and a few park bench seats.
brought up that i bought my mother a phone recently, we got on the topic of phones for a bit
he asked if i played any games on mine, said no but i recently downloaded "mario run" or w/e and pulled that up
laughed a little at how toad sounds because he sounds fucking ridiculous, kept playing for a bit
but then he takes his left arm and kinda wraps it around my right leg, rubbing his thumb/hand over my leg
at this point i'm like "aw shit, things are getting real". this continues for a little bit, kinda learning how to play the game while this dude's holding on to me
pop a half chub because i'm not really used to affection or a lot of physical contact in that manner, but hey w/e, i was liking it so no big deal, right?
well, after that he mentions he has to go to another city for bingo night w/ his mom, and that he'll see me tomorrow (today) if he isn't going camping w/ family
so i walk him over back to his car, and again, a small kiss on the cheek, but this time i go for a kiss on his cheek and kinda just kiss the side of his face smh
i walk away all sheepish but happy after parting ways, shoot him a text about how awkward as fuck i am but i had a nice time, and i'm looking forward to seeing him again
he texts me back saying he feels bad about me driving all the way out just to hang for a little less than 2 hrs, asks if i want to get dinner, but i say no it's fine dw about it, i was happy with what i got
drops me a text saying "well next time i want to kiss you on your lips", and my goofy ass says "you have me thinking i might like that". well, cue him sending me a text (i was behind him in traffic) saying "follow me"
he drives us over to a small walking path/hike trail or something, and this place is like, gorgeous, trees overhanging the whole thing, entire path covered in leaves, view of the water on the right. i hop out of my car
we walk down the path for a bit, small talk here and there, trying to break the awkward/nervousness in me because i still didn't really feel ready but i knew it was coming.
we pass through a gate on the end of the main walkway, and at the time i didn't know he stopped at the gate, he says "come here and give me a hug", so i'm like "noooooooo no no no" in the back of my head but do it anyway
grabs me, kisses my neck like 3-4 times which i really, really liked, then kisses me on the lips, but this is like straight up 7-8 seconds of straight kissing, i wasn't prepared at ALL, i thought it was going to be a small/cute 1 kiss thing to see how i liked it
nigga, no, small on-the-fly series of kisses i wasn't prepared for at all. it felt like a fucking eternity lmao. i kinda get a liiiitttle anxious but at the same time, i liked it, and was okay with it. didn't feel too soon after that, got it over with
he'd asked if i was having like a panic attack or something but i wasn't, just had to think about it, had a dumb smile on my face and i knew i did, but i didn't really care.
we turn around and walk back to our cars, making some more small talk on the way, and before we both take off i ask for another kiss, but this time something small, nothing too much.
kisses me down my neck again, then twice on my lips (was still only prepared for one..), and boy was i fuckin feeling it. all sorts of thoughts and emotions running through my head.
but yeah, first kiss(es), really cute, kinda romantic, and not terribly awkward or bad like i thought it would be.
