People want to play a casual game, so they derank in ranked to lower their normal games as well. It's nice to play a challenging game from time to time but your MMR is tied(SOMEWHAT) between the two. You'll RARELY see anyone below diamond if you're a masters in a normal game.

TLDR; People want to play an easier game without stressing out with 15-20 minute tryhard games.

I have multiple accounts to play with certain friends. Ranging from bronze through diamond. Had to throw to get them there but after that I tend to try.

Does lowering your ranked MMR really lower your normals MMR?

I still get anything from silver to GM playing quick play.

Lower MMRs have a lot more variance.

As you raise your MMR the variance goes down due to the fact that bronze/silver/gold can't reach the diamond MMR. So it becomes plat to GM range.
Get to master MMR and it's more like diamond to GM range.

i would love to play gold/silver/bronze rank games sometimes just to demolish everything

to play with friends with a lower SR....especially once you hit masters.
