Haven't some trouble....

Configure --> Project Defaults --> Project Structure...Setting SDK to jdk 9, it doesn't save... I keep having to re-do everytime i re-open intelij

presumably it's saving the setting to a file. it might have a problem writing to the file. check the permissions on it and manually set it in the file if you can.

use VisualStudio Code/or eclipse isnt intelli j still in beta lmaooo or use codebeans the official ide for java
/e VIsualStudio code is free and available on win mac and linux its like atom but you can run java on it and supports java.
