Whats interesting? :)

just forgot there were resolutions between 720p and 1080p besides 1366x768.

anyway next step up is obviously gpu, and maybe looking towards getting a sandy/ivy bridge i5/i7 for more cores/threads. If you barely use the gpu anyway may as well just go with the latter.

Not sure about those monitors, probably quite old ones, bought them seperately thus different in sizes as well, but the onscreen dimension is the same, 1440 x 900 i think.

Graphic card is the weakest link now? I dont play alot of games now, maybe just hearthstone, still getting some occasional lag, but much better than before. Graphic card would be useful mainly because of gaming right? When I am trading on the US stocks, i doubt it requires that much resource from graphic card.

SSD + reformat

Should be fine for what you want to do.
If not, CPU is your next upgrade in which case I recommend getting an i3/i5 on a more recent platform

Saw you did SSD. Next upgrade would probably be cpu/Mobo/ram to something more recent. Whats your budget look like?

Probably another 300-500 usd.

8gb ram mainly for multi tasking of things like surfing net, hearthstone, trading of stocks should be good enough? Would my old i3 interfere with any potential "recent platform" items since it may have a cap to it.
