Went to buy the Gold Edition of the new South Park game on Amazon and they tried to charge me $6 in sales tax for it. So I went and bought $90 worth of psn codes with no sales tax at all which makes no sense. How can digital items get charged sales tax while digital gift cards dont. I mean its technically the same thing no? Anyways yeah if you wanna get digital psn games and avoid sales tax buy the psn codes over the actual digital game.

Or you can just pay $30 for 2 years and buy any new game for 20% off.

That is if you're worried about saving that $6.

Just buy physical, consoles are still heavily lacking in the discounts of digital purchasing compared to Steam.

Such a good deal. I signed up about a month ago and literally made my money back with shadow of war, evil within 2, and destiny 2, not to mention south prk

yeah no kidding its pretty bad in canada
i go buy a game in store its $80+13% tax+ i gotta drive to the next city over so rip gas and time
or i can 5 min walk to avondales and grab 4 $20 psn cards and buy the game for 80 with no tax and download it


the problem is psn store upped the prices to cover tax and exchange rate from USD to CAD they used to be 1:1 and charge tax on purchases
every store in canada also upped their prices but still has to charge tax its a rip off they had no reason to up the price of the game in stores other then greed
