One of my friends is wanting to buy a laptop for mainly gaming and also some computer animation (basic).
He has though about the Acer Predator Helios, the one with an i-5 7300hq, GTX 1050ti, 16GB ram, 128Gb ssd and a 15.7" screen.
He lives in the UK and has found this laptop for 1050 british pounds. I am wondering if there are any better laptops than this within around this price range.

That would be roughly $1400 USD, thats a pretty decent laptop for that price. Only way you'd upgrade over the 1050ti would be to find a laptop with a 1070. Usually the laptops in the $1500 USD range that have a 1070 don't have a SSD.
