LMAO! Ram ain't going to magically let you fluently play on a 144hz monitor mate. Your friend is talking out of his ass imo :)
1) You are correct, once u go 144hz u cannot go back to 60hz (looks like 20fps)
2) ASUS because more known imo and monitors are amazing, had 2 of them for 8+ years still working great
can you please just list your cpu and graphics card model? this will tell us if it's worth it get the 144hz monitor mate

One key thing about spending $250 on your monitor is that, if your computer isn't great then you won't be utilizing the monitor at its fullest.
Basically, if you're using a 144 monitor, but ur only gettin like 20-30fps cos of an outdated computer...gg
thanks guys I do appreciate it... My comp guy said don't even consider a 240Hz because my system won't support it and it might support a 144Hz but my lack of Ram, crappy power supply and age might hinder it.
I figured I could double my Ram and if I need to upgrade my power supply I might do that too, but the new SSD and video card have done wonders for me already. I am just trying to push the next step before I buy a new machine.
