three salesmen work for the same company, selling the same product and although they are all paid on a weekly basis , each earns his paycheck differently . salesman a works strictly on commission. he earns 65 per sell, with a maximum weekly commission of 1300 . salesmen b earns a weekly base salary of 300 , plus a commission of 40 per sell. there are no limits on the the amount he can earn. salesmen c dose not earn any commission. his weekly salary is 900.

1. for each salesman, write an equation showing the relationship between their weekly paycheck, p, and the number of sales, s, they had that week.
2. Graph the three equation you just wrote for each salesman if they have between 0 and 20 sales in a week. graph all three equations on the same graph . make sure you label each line with the salesman it represents, as well as label the axes. Note: the independent variable is s, and the dependent variable is p.

1: p = 65s and but p<1300
2: p = 40s + 300
3: p = 900

Graph of 1 is linear, increasing to the right by increments of 65 p (dollars?) per sale (s). y-intercept @ 0
Graph of 2 is linear, increasing to the right by increments of 40 p (dollars?) per sale (s), y-intercept @ 300
Graph of 3 is horizontal to the x axis, at y=900

equation 1 should be p = 65s, p <= 1300. the maximum allowed comission INCLUDES 1300, not solely less than 1300, but this shouldn't really change how the graph appears
