Really need some help trouble shooting. I own a Mitsubishi Lancer 05, I recently added a
JVC KD-R980BTS Single Din and 4x 6 1/2 Pioneer Ts-G650 speakers. (adding a sub soon)

The lows and mid sound fine clean and clear punchy response. However when I crank the volmue up the highs in songs wether it be vocals, guitar rift or high notes hurt my ears badly.
Someone said turn the high pass off which I don't see that setting on my head unit. I have tried turning mid and treble -2 with eq settings when I do it helps a bit, but not much. If anyone has experince or ideas please help!!!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-pass_filter

you need to set your low pass filter accordingly. our ears are very sensitive to sounds and their ability to hear diminishes over time.

Most normal people in their 20s and 30s have the highest ear sensitivity at a frequency near 10000 Hz. you can set a low pass filter to attenuate (fancy term for decrease the intensity) of your speakers so the highs shouldn't be as loud. It will take some experimentation but you can try to set it around 7-10 kHz and go from there (1 kHz = 1000 Hz)
