Cannot start the PS4.

Connect the dualshock 4 using the USB cable, and then press the PS button.

Tried doing this -- got some update -- keeps happening
Played normal this morning. Went to play again and RIP

How I fix this?

Did you try putting it in the freezer?

you using a proper cable and is it charged up?

Had this issue once and it took like 15 mins of charge on the pad and a sony cable to connect. Tried with a universal cable and would not work at all.

I had great luck with mine after it started doing that exact same thing!! I threw it straight into the washing machine then out my window onto the concrete. Then drove to Best Buy and bought new one

Using a Sony cable might work if you aren't already. If what psxbackuppk posted doesn't work, do you mind posting what the update is? It might not be helpful, but it would at least give a better image of what is happening.

maybe not enough space or the update download is corrupt ?

or try a factory reset/fresh they suck but often times fix most software related issues
i think the reset is fresh not sure never had to do one on ps4
