Hello. For this walk I definitely wanted to do something melee, so here I am with my favourite character of all: the barbarian! In my previous WTs, Hell difficulty was basically broken up into segments as follows: Farm-->progress to next farming spot-->Farm--->progress to next farming spot-->Farm--> beat game. This time around, I would like to experience Hell difficulty as a continuous adventure with no farming breaks at all. I want to be fully prepared for Hell before I even go there (see Hell-specific rules). This way, entering Hell does not signal an arduous grind... but an exciting adventure!
General Rules:
-/Players 8 at all times except Countess
-Vanilla (no ladder runewords or plugy)
-Strength must always be higher than Vitality
-Must complete all quests
-Must acquire all waypoints
-Cannot change builds - 2h Zerk/Conc/Mace barb for life
Hell-specific rules:
-Single pass (no re-runs whatsoever of any area)
-100% full clear
-Once I start Hell, I can never go back to a lower difficulty for any reason other than to use a socket quest/re-stat
Plan:
Normal: find Bonesnap
Nightmare: Upgrade Bonesnap and find everything I need for Hell
Hell: Have a great time!
Battle Strategy:
Berserk will be Calvin's main attack. He will use Concentrate in some situations, namely vs magic immune monsters and in tougher melee fights where he may need the uninterruptible attack. Some examples of when he may use Concentrate are Lister, Duriel, or an especially nasty pack of Frenzytaurs. He will also take full advantage of the Warcries skill tree, of course.
WT Goals:
-Kill Hell Baal
-Take it slow in Hell and enjoy all the little quirks of the game
-Find and upgrade Ribcracker in NM (the Pul may be difficult...but I do enjoy Chaos runs!)
-Craft 20% IAS/9-10% CB/5-6% Life leech gloves or find LoH during my adventures in Hell
*Clarification point: This does not mean that I am done with Hypatia. I am still very much interested in completing Tal's set on her and will be spending most of my D2 time on her until she is finished. I just miss actually progressing/playing the game haha. Grinding is great, and I love finding the shiny items... But sometimes all I want to do is quests/progress and I don't have that right now with her. My goal would be to have Calvin set up and ready to start his long NM grind by the time I'm finished with Hypatia. Something like being in NM A5 with an upgraded Bonesnap by the time Hypatia beats Hell would be ideal.
