I'd like to be able to solo uber tristram. First time I tried, I had to get someone to help me. Meph insta-pwned me.

I'm a frenzy barb, here is my current setup:

Highlords
2x grief PB
Forti AP 28@res
Dracs
Raven
Nosferatu
Ar, ml, dex, 20cold res ring
Gores/ Travs

Merc has eth shaftstop (~2200 def)
Eth CV pride with level 18 conc
non-eth crown of thieves

I have about 3.1k life after BO.

Basically, when meph hits me with his conviction, my res goes like to -60 for fire/cold/ lit and then he one shots me.

Any suggestions as to gear so that I can solo ubers?

I was thinking of socketing an arreats with an um for +45@res and then maybe getting a metalgrid ammy??

Thoughts?

replace the rare ring with a sorb ring. any of them. even a second raven is better.

If you replace a bo stick with a lifetap charged stick (or even a +3 warcry/lifetap charge stick) you won't have to worry about much of anything since even with -60 resist his ball shouldn't be dealing more than like 1800 damage

I was in a rush the last time I built one (it was just to make a point) but I used a credendum belt off a mule because I didn't have a trang belt or string of ears lying around at the time.
It adds like 30 stats and 15 all resist or something. I think it's from dark adherent set

why would you want coh? that's disgusting

Stack res...i play hc so i never built an uber char without stack res..

He gets one shots from meph thats the only problem he has so what does he need....res that simple so prepuff or coh or whatever fits him best.

Grief pb + Death Colossus Sword for frenzy!

Thank you all for the suggestions.

I've gotten a wisp (lit sorb) and will use that as my second ring.
I have treachery and will prebuff fade before going in.

Questions about some of the gear suggested:
String of ears - why would this belt be better than, say, an IK belt? IK belt = res and stats. I understand the damage reduction of 15%, but is the reason this belt is used also because of the MDR? I feel as though meph one shotted me with lightning, versus like quickly draining me with fire (which mdr would be great for??) I have a dungo's - would that be better than string (same dr, but lots of vit)?
Goblin toe - is this in there strictly for the crushing blow %? Or is there some other secret to this item that I'm missing?
It was also suggested that I get a dwarf ring - which would be better for ubers - the dwarf or the wisp (fire sorb vs lit sorb...my wisp is 18% lit sorb btw).
