I've been using a roku for the past year and it's ok for Netflix and YouTube, but it would be very nice to be able to watch regular tv channels. I think Android boxes can do this, can you guys inform me of some good Android boxes and services available in Canada?

Use amazon.

Pick up an android with atleast 3 gigs of ram. Make sure it can be upgraded. Ive been checking out the octogon looking ones on amazon.ca as there like 4-8 cores with 3+ ram for 120-130 ..I have an older version with low ram that cannot be upgraded anymore. Sucks.

Should cost max 130ish. Make sure you get a keyboard.

Canada? Dont use rogers or bell.

Small companys that run threw bell and rogers are cheaper.

I pay 40$ a month for unlimited internet threw teksavvy.

On a side note. If you have a junkie laptop laying around. Go to the dollar store buy a 3$ hdmi cord. Connect the laptop to your tv.

Then stream what u want using free sites.. or grab kodi which can also be installed on laptops.

While teksavy is boss for their efforts to keep us safe and our information rogers has without a doubt a better service.
If I could deal with the slower speeds from teksavy I'd totally opt for them but there ins't anything wrong with rogers Internet.
As for the other services well I dare not comment.

Able to choose the speed you want. More speed = more connections considering you cannot download faster then the upload speed of what your connecting to.

Also i payed like 40$ years ago to buy my modem.. does rogers still charge 10-15$ a month to rent theres ?

Had rogers set for auto pay.. was set to overpay about 15$ a month. So i never checked my bill. Months later i got cut off for owing 600$. As they nearlier doubled my bill during that time.

Was with rogers for years.. no thanks.

Chose dsl years ago to walk around d2 ip restrictions.

If not i probly woulda grabbed a higher speed cable. Connection at the same price

Though my speed dosent seem to lower with multiple connections. So havnt bothered changing.

Well duh EVERYONES limited on servers speed but more users requires more speed in a house.
Depends on plan, can also buy modem flat out.
Never use auto pay on any service, this is just a no brainer, being lazy has down sides.
If you can't get around ip restrictions on d2, well I don't know what to tell you but that shits easy as fuck.

highest dsl speed on teksavy
HIGH SPEED DSL 50mb/10 - starting at 46.99
not even available for me in Toronto which is fucking retarded seeing as its the largest city in Toronto.
which leaves me with
HIGH SPEED DSL 25mb/10 - starting at 25.99 - 200gb limit which is a joke.
Which means I'm paying $44.95 for unlimited usage, add 5$ for a dry loop, Add 5$ for your additional IP per month...
Then theres the 120$ for modem + modem shipping 10$

so now teksavy's basic 25mb package cost's about 54.95 before modem+

or

UNLIMITED USAGE
150Mbp / 15Mbps
Modem rental included
$79.99

yep that 25$ difference isn't worth the 6x download speeds, man I must be getting fucked so hard. :bonk:
Look I get it if you had a bad experience and switched cause w/e but teksavy isn't exactly AMAZING.
Outside what they due for our privacy rights in the court there meh. The cable packages they offer are a better
buy vs the dsl connections they offer, and their customer service has gone drastically down hill in recent years.
As do all company's who start to get big.
