meanwhile in germany.....
...merkel desperately tries to keep the government together after the bavarian branch of her party finally is rebelling against her migration policy
refusing to obey german law and existing european law she wants a "european solution" as "unilateralism wouldnt accomplish anything"
weird statement since SHE caused the migrant tsunami and decided on her own to open the borders ( i guess her memory is slowly fading.....)
the new minister of the interior seehofer started it all with his plans to reject certain asylum seekers at the border, in accordance with both german and european law (article 16 of or constitution and the dublin agreement)
however merkel does not want to lose her face as the new policy would officially label her open border policy as illegal and failed (which it has always been)
seehofer received a public threat to be fired, if he issued new orders for the federal police
yep, a minister enforcing our laws is facing dismissal, thats merkel "democracy" at its finest
seehofer and those supporting him have given merkel some time to find a european solution (that we didnt have in 3 years by now) and there will be a summit
the eastern europeans outright refuse to attend ("there is nothing to talk about") and merkel actually tried to bring an already finished agreement (ready to be signed, unbelievable arrogance), which the new italian government refused and announced that they wouldnt attend
merkel retracted the paper and after a phone call they will come and hear her out at least
she already secured the support of macron (thats weird, because his governemt sent tens of thousands asylum seekers back to italy) in exchange for his plans for a an additional european budget
or in other words, merkel now wants to buy her way out of this with our tax money, while her party has the lowest rating in the polls in history, over 40% want her gone and a clear majority supports the new plans for a tougher migration policy
a government spokesman has just announced that its not expected to actually make a decision at the meeting on sunday
thats interesting, because seehofer and the CSU party have announced to take action, if merkel would not deliver a result
will they actually do it? i hope so
her days are slowly coming to an end either way it seems
