Photoshop will definitely enjoy the single-core speed from an 8700k.

Yeah, the editing side definitely prefers intel. Just don't want to wait that long to build, I've been using the same laptop for a few years and its starting to get finicky. And I'm sure that the 1700-1800x will still edit faster than what I'm currently using lol
