Will check that out. Everything I use now is Intel so have nothing to compare it to myself. TV does have HDMI 2.0, but not 100% concerned about the gaming on the TV part of things. I do also have a couple 1080p monitors and smaller tvs. Got a lot of screens going on most of the time. No more than 2 per machine though.

going to state if you want the most value on 4k gaming either ryzen or intel but if you are going 1080p intel will give you the most but for the price

if you want to check up on how modern cpus are comparing now days you can read many 8700k reviews that contain a broad selection of cpus make sure they are including ryzen r5 to r7 line up too

Eventually I'd definitely like to be in 4k for sure. I have a laptop that can run anything I want it to in 1080p, but I'd really like to keep that for traveling and not wear it out with daily use.

Amazed that the first build is actually within budget. All of the threads I've seen in here most people double the persons budget lol.

Nice! Ordered it since I doubt anyone can make one better :P

Seriously though, is EVGA better than Seasonic now? Everyone always used to use Seasonic back in the day xD

Still going back and forth between the Fractal Node 804 and the smaller mITX tower style one... Feel like if I go mITX it will cost more though for the same thing. And I kinda like the box style cases rather than the tower style :P

Looks like at this point I need to decide whether I want to prioritize rendering or gaming to determine whether or not I want an i7 or a Ryzen. I think a lot of people put too much importance in rendering speed vs actual "work" time. If I spent 2 hours at the computer, do I really care if it takes 2 hours or 4 hours to finish when I'm gone / sleeping / doing something else?

Seasonic are still great PSUs.

The EVGA GS power supplies are made by Seasonic as well.

No compromises. Just kidding, kind of :P
No SSD, but not that high above $1000 without it.

Been a complete change of plans lol. I'm in love with the Phanteks Evolv Shift! Going to up my budget and wait for one of two things. Either for the i7's to be back in stock, or for someone to make a decent AM4 mini itx AMD board. Whichever comes first!
