Why?

Intentionally spreading HIV to unknowing victims is a very serious and malicious crime that permanently and dramatically alters the victim's life, and can lead to early death especially if they are not told about it.
A life on expensive medication is a best case scenario.

They changed the punishment to a slap on the wrist.
You don't see anything wrong with that?
Should we reduce the penalty for intentionally poisoning someone?
How about cutting off someone's arms? no biggy right? they can still live a long life. its all good.

These are the kind of people who belong behind bars, if not worse.

I see you like big government infringing on my right to speech by forcing me to disclose private and confidential medical information about myself.

If they don't want to get HIV they should insist on using protection.

Intentionally spreading HIV without consent is aggression. Its not a free speech issue.

Just like someone breaking into your house and taking your stuff is a crime unless you have an agreement that he is allowed to do so.
Requiring consent isn't a violation of free speech.

You're victim blaming. Knowingly infecting someone with a deadly disease should obviously be a serious crime.

If my partner wants to willingly engage in an activity of known risk that's her right. It isn't your right to tell me to disclose personal medical information.

its not known risk. its withheld risk. with malicious intent.

the poisoning analogy is incredibly similar.
sure its possible to get food poisoning when you eat food someone made for you. there are cases of this all the time.
that doesn't make it ok to secretly and purposefully poison someone's sandwich.

It is known risk, hiv has been around for decades and she knows the risk of unprotected sex.

The poisoning analogy fails. It isn't malicious because it isn't my intention to give her aids, its my intention to have pleasurable intercourse which we both know could result in infection coming from either direction. She could give me clymidia for all I know.

I think we both know your trolling is wearing thin at this point

"the defendant acts with the specific intent to transmit or cause an afflicted 3rd party to transmit the disease to another person"
