Hey MichaelBoy. Coffee Lake from Intel is officially coming out today, we will also see some reviews coming out later.
I would probably do something like i5 8400 or 8600k paired with a gtx 1060 6GB. But before doing a build I would like to see benchmarks and reviews of Coffee Lake.

Do you prefer 2 identical monitor or are you fine with a main monitor (144-165hz) gaming + a secondary 60hz more for browsing etc.

I'm cool with the second monitor just being non gaming. It's only ever get used for streams or jsp lol

Ty for looking at this btw

Path of exile is really taxing so that's the main goal to get it to be able to run smoothly

No problem. With this budget you will be able to run PoE ultra settings 100++ fps with a butter smooth 144hz experience.
PoE still does favor Intel CPUs.

Gonna be back when there is some more information on Intel's new line up.

use the $500 on OS/monitors and mouse.
I personally prefer playing PoE and LoL since response time means shit in those games and i prefer quality color. I use my dell ultrasharps over my asus rog 165hz/IPS monitor.

price will most likely increase in 2-3weeks, so make sure you bump the thread a day or 2 before you plan on purchasing

yes, but that's based on your brain reaction and ping. 1ms monitors barely does anything for poe/league, so focusing on image quality would be more ideal. Having 1ms/4ms/5ms/3000fps/1000fps/100fps barely makes any difference. However, if you know or feel that you would play FPS games competitively liek csgo etc. then by all means invest in a 144/1ms/tn panel.

basically, having 144hz/1ms will not make you see taliya clap you faster in the future so you can react, or make you see anything coming 5-10seconds before it happens like faker does. So you might as well enjoy those games with sexy crisp image quality since they're colorful games.
