Chevy truck !

It's funny because i'm actually considering a midsize pickup..

I'm stuck between a Taco and a Colorado.. Both have ups and downs..

Taco:
Cheaper
Has great reviews across the board
Off road capable
Mediocre at best steering capabilities

Colorado:
Gorgeous little truck
Decent power in the v6
The trim I'd want/need is fucking ridiculously expensive.

idk, I'm kind of leaning towards either the Volvo if I get the car or the Taco if I get the truck.. The TRD Offroad with the big ass cabin.

steer me right guiz.

They start at like 45 though if I recall.. And quickly go up.

My dream truck is a 2500 Cummins mega cab.. I'd send it to Texas so they could add 3 feet to the frame and have a huge fucking bed..

Some states are starting to ban the mega cab long beds / 3 door conversion trucks now :(

IIRC bone cheapest mega cab msrp is right over 42k. That's a 2wd gas job though.

The 14 I bought new was 52k
the 15 was 54k

Both prices pre TT&L and both trucks are optioned the same. Both Laramies with every options sans rear entertainment, plow prep, and rambox.

Just got quoted 59.5kk for loaded southfork editions for this spring. (If I buy 2 at the same time)

I would imagine you could get into a bighorn or similar mega cab diesel for around 50-52k if you try. Even if you don't have a good relationship with a dealer.

I couldn't even imagine the use I'd get out of a mega cab anyways.. IMO I'd rather buy a performance 4 door or a fully loaded midsize pickup..

Don't buy a midsize truck. You get the negatives of a car and a full size truck and the positives of neither. When I bought my 14 Silverado MSRP was $50k for a 5.3 crew cab/full size bed/Z71 2LT All-star. I paid right at $40k for it after rebates.

When I took delivery there was a new Colorado parked behind mine. They had just come out and the guy paid MSRP of $35k for the the damn thing. It was a Z71 with similar options as my big ass 1500.

I get 20mpg on my commute and average 17 in the city with a best of 25mpg over a 200 mile trip on rural 2 lane.

The Colorado gets slightly better but it can't pull 10k or pull my 6klb boat as comfortably as mine. I have almost as much room as a mega cab in the back which makes it our preferred vehicle for road trips with more than 2 adults.

Get a 1-2 year old half ton with nice options and low miles. You'll get the balance of the factory warranty too. 5/100k powertrain and many people opt for the 5/100k or 7/70k GM bumper to bumper which is transferable. You can call them and add it if you buy used before the basic 3/36k bumper to bumper runs out.

Hey man, long time no see..

Again, i'm just not sure I can justify buying a half ton pickup.. I have no practical use for it, and it would be a princess mobile.. I'm a murse for god sakes, I don't work construction anymore =(..

So with that being said, I'm really contemplating the 6.4 scat pack Charger or finding a used Chevy SS.

The chargers aren't bad cars. Just really shitty room in the back seat.
