Just purchased, downloading as we speak. Anyone else grab it? Seems to be getting great reviews so far, excited to test it out.

People are describing it as a dark souls side scroller with 1930s cartoon graphics. Got me very interested.

I actually have put a few hours on it and really enjoy it so far. Well worth the $20, I would have gladly paid $40.

Thoughts:

It brings me back to my early gaming days. Mario, Mega Man, Contra, Bullet Hell, all mashed together. The toony art style and music work very well. It has the punishment and reward factor that dark souls brought me, which is good.

I'm still on the first of three islands, and starting to get the hang of it. My only advice is remap the controls. Have my fire set to right trigger and dash set to x, with lock set to left trigger. Feels more natural than having most of them on the four front buttons.

Overall I'd rate it very high, easily 9 out of 10. Definetly lived up to the hype in my opinion.

Check out the trailer and some gameplay videos. Curious what you think about it. I'm having a blast, and it's a good buy for the price tag.

The artwork for the game reminds me of an old buggs bunny/Mickey mouse cartoon from the 60s.
