Anything that demands more than 2gb of vram from the 740 is gonna run at like 5 fps, the shaders on it are pathetic. Get the 950, it's about three times faster.
For reference, the 960 which is faster than the 950 and overwhelmingly faster than the 740 has a hard time utilizing 4gb, so it doesn't take much imagination to figure how much worse the 740 will fare in the attempt.
