Budget: $1,000 USD

Hoping to buy everything on Black Friday so that 1k effectively gets me a 1.2 or 1.3k system.

Only games I plan on playing are PUBG, CSGO and D2R whenever it comes out, so nothing crazy.

I need literally everything, including a monitor. Don't need a hard drive, only SSD (do I need 250 or will 512 do?).

TY FRIENDS

If you want us to give you a more accurate list of what to buy. You should post again in about 12 weeks.

Wanted to do it a bit early so I can do some research and learn some things, 'cause I know very little right now.

That way if I see a good sale before Black Friday, I can jump on it.

CPU: Ryzen R7 1600
Mobo: B350 or x370

or

CPU: i5 7600k
mobo: Z270
with aftermaket cooler for overclocking.

rest:
RAM: 2x8GB - 16GB RAM around 3000MHz
SSD: EVO 850 or MX300 (250-275gb should be sufficent)
GPU: GTX 1060 right now. Could easily be different in 12 weeks.
Case. Whatever you like, just make sure it fits the correct motherboard size (Micro-atx or regular ATX)
PSU: EVGA GS, G2 or G3. Corsair RMx

Monitor: 144Hz (acer xf240h would be a decent choice)

This should fit your budget.

We usually use this site for builds: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Pq3gHN

But I can't see any reason if you won't buy for another 13weeks.

SU800 vs. EVO / MX300? SU800 is about 75% the price I believe, but a quick google search tells me it's definitely a downgrade. Wondering if it'd work for my build though?

Thanks. I just wanted a general idea so I could read up on some things and look out for sales. I'll get back to it in November, I guess :P

Would a 550W Gold Corsair PSU be good enough for this system? Nice sale on this one:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?sdtid=10507380&SID=64aba7c48c4a11e7a580162af5eba7fc0INT&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=N82E16817139210&cm_sp=

Or would I need higher wattage?
