Is it alot harder to play /8players? Or will it go faster due to the fac that i get more xp?

Both. Really depends on the char class you pick

Do you have any advice on some good, and some fun chars?

If you don't wanna get bogged down pick a skill rather than a gear based char. Sorc, summon necro, windy druid, hdin. If you don't mind grinding for gear try a Frenzy barb

I havn't played d2 for so long, ill go for sorc.

And; will it not be hard for me to get a infinity? or do i have to go for hybrid sorc?

I'd recommend going Meteorb or straight Blizz.

It's not necessarily super easy to get to hell a5 on p8, but you'll likely be around level 85ish by the time you do.

Farm Lower Kurast superchests for runes to make Infinity. Can get everything up to Ber out of the chests

I'd go FO/FB or Firewall if you want to go dual element route. Pure Blizz if you only want to use single element.

Depends on situation. For running countess players settings have no effect on drops. For LK running settings can have en effect. Some monsters like Shenk and Eldritch have drops unaffected by player settings, while act bosses change drops based on settings. People try to outline what rules they'll be using in their intro.
