3 Perfect Skulls + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = Add 1 Socket To a Rare Item
Rare Items can only have one socket. You cannot add sockets to items that don't normally have sockets. You can not use this on a Rare with one socket. You can only add one socket to a zero socket Rare Item.

1 Perfect Skull + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = 1 High Quality New Rare Item of the same type
This formula has the possibility of creating a higher quality Rare Item than the following formula. ilvl = int(.66 * clvl) + int(.66 * ilvl) That is, the ilvl will be equal to .66 times your clvl (rounded down) plus .66 times the input item's ilvl (also rounded down).

6 Perfect Skulls + 1 Rare Item = 1 Random Low Quality Rare Item of the same type
You can use this formula to get another chance at a Rare Item of the same type. ilvl = int(.4 * clvl) + int(.4 * ilvl) Player level matters. This formula will not work on items larger than 3x2.

I believe worrywart's intention was to show him his "crafting" with 1 soj and 3 pskulls only adds a socket to a rare items not a new item like he is wanting, while also giving him the information he needs to know about the items ilvl's and the affects of it for affixes on crafting his new item.

This is literally all he needs to know other than the affix levels which is also on arreatsummit.

So far as rerolling rares with an SoJ, your chances of making godlies isn't that great for the cost. If you're after circlets/tiaras etc the best bet is to just find white ones and imbue. They have really high mlvl, so a lvl8 char can make a godly imbue with a white one.

As far as affixes go, not that hard to find a list of affixes, see which ones you want, and then calc a reroll. If you imbue a circlet you end up with a high ilvl, so rerollng with 6pskull can be worth it if you're after affixes for an lld

Except he gave you all the info you needed. No troll or belittlement.

He gave you the correct recipe with corresponding ilvl/clvl information.

You post is so vague its had to know what info you need.

What are you crafting?

What affixes are you after?

Does it have a minimum level requirement?

Are you willing to waste a 100fg soj on an item that could be worth 0fg?

And so on.
