How would you run a .exe on a Chromebook or how do I compile scripts that are able to run on Chrome OS? How would I install an app on the Chromebook that the administrator at school has blocked? How would I block websites on the Chromebook I find inappropriate? Is there a way to bypass all school applied restrictions?

More questions may come. Thank you for the info.

In todays IT world technical people are excited about chromebooks only for its portable hardware.
First they promote them:
Take Linux Foundation Training, Get a Free Chromebook
https://training.linuxfoundation.org/get-a-free-chromebook
and then they explain that the first thing to do with it, like with any other laptop is to put linux on it:
https://training.linuxfoundation.org/why-our-linux-training/blogs/lftstaff/846-use-linux-on-your-chromebook
ofcourse any other hardware should get the same treatment. Maybe u should just get one of these:

and then start here maybe ? :D
https://edubuntu.org/

and to run windoze software on linux:

You can't run exe's on chrome without wine installed. Developer mode is really your only viable option, but might not be an option depending on how it's configured. Even then, it might wipe changes when it checks in with the Chrome admin console.

Easiest way to do it at home is to use OpenDNS for web filtering. Make a free account, choose what to filter, and then configure your network to use their DNS servers. For any machine you don't want the filter applied to, manually set a static DNS to something else like Google's 8.8.8.8. This is what I did at home, works well. Easy to get around, but kids are lazy. I wish mine were motivated enough to figure out how to get around it, I'd be so proud!
