I sent a few messages last night and again today, but didn't see any response.

My sent folder doesn't show anything is in there. I did see the "your message has been sent to xxx" page.

Should sent messages automatically be saved in my sent messages folder? Is there a glitch with messaging here? I'm using Chrome.

Well if you saw that message then the message was sent.
In order to save what message you sent you need to check the box that says "Save a Copy of this Message in my Sent folder" when sending a PM next time

if you want to save the messages you send, you need to tick in the box Save a Copy of this Message in my Sent folder

otherwise it wont be displayed there
