I have a 1070 ftw currently, had it for about 6 months now.

This comes with a 1 year warranty, but you cannot transfer warranty on this model.

e/ there is a coupon for $50 dollars off as well.

This comes to 465 USD to help you guys out with the conversion.

One step up isn't worth it. Two steps or new generation + one step up is the minimum upgrade I'd recommend.

You're paying C$639 (or C$639 minus money from selling current) to gain 8-16% fps (1080p-1440p). You should already be able to play all games at good enough frames that the bump to the gtx 1080 won't be as noticeable (ie: 178 fps vs 198 fps. It's not going to make a difference).

Unless you're aiming for 144hz+ and higher resolution monitors AND struggling to reach your goal then upgrade. But like I said above, at least two steps or new gen + one step to make a worthwhile difference.

I'm assuming it's for games but cost vs performance gain wise, it's the same for design software.

its 590 after coupons, but I see what you mean.

1440p triple monitor set up, and VR gaming are the goals in the long run, but I can wait for next gen for sure.
