harden will move to the 2 again with the addition of cp3 in houston, so i think we have to count him, presuming lonzo is talking about derozan adding a 3 point shot to his game this offseason.

offensively yes, derozan moves past butler with the addition of a 3 point shot, but not to the level where his offense alone outweighs butler's efficient offense and elite defense.

you could make the argument that derozan is better than klay if he adds a three point shot, but klay isn't the best sg in the league.

I would. It's not pretty but he has a really good shot. He rushes it sometimes and sometimes it gets awkward, but he made HUGE improvements.

I don't think Demar is going to start shooting 37%+. He works on his shot relentlessly but his psychology of the 3 is complete crap and his form is better at mid-range.

IF Demar starts shooting 37% from 3, he's arguably the best SG because then he'd be the complete offensive package. His defense would still be pretty bad, especially considering how athletic he is.
IF Harden starts defending at an elite level, he immediately goes into the GOAT conversation, no questions asked. The reason Russ is SO much better than Harden even though Harden is a better shooter and dribbler is that Russ is a far superior defender, even though he's kind of a disappointment given his own athleticism.
IF Curry could defend at an elite level he'd be better than Lebron, better than Jesus, and better than Vishnu.

The only big IF that I see coming even remotely true of All Star+ players is maybe Giannis gets up to 37% from 3. I doubt it will happen but if he does, as I've said before, he's going to crap all over everyone.

I think Demar has already progressed on offense more than almost anybody in the league outside of maybe Kawhi -- and his insane work ethic is the ONLY thing that gives me any hope he can become an elite shooter. But it's not happening. Too much to ask.

He shot 39% from 3 last season on 3.6 attempts per game after going his whole career barely ever stepping out beyond the arc, so yeah.
