I'm not knowledgeable in car audio set ups, and was wondering if you guys could help me out with some suggestions for my scion frs. There is a big sale on at an audio shop this weekend, nd would like a little knowledge before checking it out. All suggestions are appreciated.

Wall lol !!!, what do you like ? High bass low bass? Most prefab boxes are tuned high and you won't get the full potential of your sub brother your question is kinda vague can't really make out what you're Asking

I have never really invested in a sounds system, so not sure what the differences are.

I have no knowledge in making boxes, so a prefab is likely required. I think I would need a new deck (for amplifier?), replacement speakers, amp and sub?

I don't want to drown out everything with bass. So I guess cleaner sound, but want the bass to still hit.

I have no idea if that narrows it down lol

yeah a bit you want sq not loud basss but still thumps im a Sound pressure level guy my bad Or SPL guy , well id say you cant really go wrong with what u get and or buy, its a shame this topic is pretty dead on here

good chance u can do better on the price online. for a first system, don't go too nuts just any 2 10s or 2 12s system should work. If you feel like u need more after that then go big
