just tried to help a friend level after not playing for years.. thought I would be able to maybe to do the beginning acts with him at least but there is no chars on my account anymore lol.. I also cant post on the technical support forums without having the expansion so that's why I came here. I'm assuming if I cant even post without it that I also wouldn't be able to see my chars but just trying to make sure. thanks!

Expansion is for playing Act 5, bounties, rifts, greater rifts, and all the new stuff. Expansion adds more stuff to the original Diablo 3 game. Nercomancer pack is additional content if you want that.

ya that's why I thought I would be able to play with him and was shocked when I couldn't see my chars. thanks for the info but still need to know if the characters are playable if I get the expansion!

your gear is 100% worthless on expansion
your characters are there, you're just blind or on the wrong account.

You most likely have the wrong region selected. Your character should appear once you correct that (via the launcher).

I have someone to give me gear.. I've only had 1 account ever and there is no chars I had to create a new one and it will only let me play in campaign mode.



I've checked the other regions they aren't there either

you need the expansion for adventure mode. in other words, YES, both of you need it.
