New to these forums but I love cars and trucks 😎
Anyways I picked up a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the 6.0 for cheap a few weeks back. Trying to diagnose the trans...
It shifts fine in all the gears.. until randomly it starts shifting hard sort of like a shift kit. If I shut the truck off and restart it, it goes back to normal.
Any thoughts guys? Before I take it in to get looked at
Thanks !

Mine has electrical gremlins. It runs great for two months straight then does the stupid "reduced engine power" 5 times in one day. It never did it in 150,000 miles before I got the new motor and only did it a few times in the beginning. Replaced throttle body, maf, gas pedal, all kinds of shit and still just randomly does it when it wants. its a terror...lol

check your grounds and check them again. Then check your TAC module connection.

Might have something to do with that . TAC is only thing I didnt relace. I replaced TPS, and the gas pedal and the throttle body. Now if I shut the truck off and unplug the gas pedal and start it up it goes away, so that's what I have been doing, but its annoying when it happens at in opportune times like on a busy highway or something.
